Lyrical Earth Family

Welcome to Lyrical Earth Therapy.  I am a school counselor, teacher, principal, and therapist with over 25 years of experience.  As an educator (trained in Special Education and Behavioral difficulties) I have spent many years working with adolescents who are struggling in school have dropped out, or have learning difficulties.
I have coached and competed in a variety of sports at both the recreational level and the high-performance level, which has given me valuable insight into the mind of an athlete and the difficulties they strive to overcome.
My education and professional background in both the mind and the body give me a unique and effective approach to therapy. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing stress, anxiety, transition, academic struggles, depression, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, and unhealthy coping skills.  I work together with my client to build valuable relationships, set goals, and find motivation for them to achieve change in their life.
I incorporate breathing techniques into my practice to encourage a peaceful mind and body.  I am passionate about wellness and will help you incorporate healthy eating and activity practices into your daily life (I can guide you in deep breathing, meditation, and yin yoga).

Lyrical Earth Therapy is a place to tell your story and begin your next chapter.  Change is the only constant in our world, appreciate each moment.

I am an Educational Assistant and Counselor. I work with children and youth struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, and skill-building. I help children and youth discover who they are and improve their skills to aid in their day-to-day lives.

I use art therapy as the main form of my counseling. Kids have BIG emotions, Art therapy can help give a voice to those struggling. Art therapy promotes problem-solving skills. Children of all abilities can participate. Some main areas I focus on with kids are life skills, communication, and coping skills.

I am a co-facilitator for group workshops in art journaling.

Transitions

Daily transitions and pressures to achieve can put our lives off balance. When we are not healthy, it affects our family, our social life, and even our personality. Therapy is one way to help keep you balanced and healthy.
